Happy Friday! I’m thankful for the weekend after a busy week of school. Today I’m linking up with The Farmer’s Wife & Bright on a Budget to share what’s been going on over here!
Yep! I’m celebrating that it’s finally going to cool off! It won’t actually be perfect sweater and boots weather for at least a few more weeks but I’m grateful that I don’t see 90 degrees anywhere after tomorrow in my 10 day forecast. For the millionth time it’s been the longest, hottest, most miserable summer so I’m ready to move on to better seasons.
I promised myself the second that Fawn Design restocked their diaper bags I would buy one SO at 9 am this morning (literally as soon as I possibly could buy it) I bought my brown diaper bag. I am so excited to get it and start breaking it in before our little jelly bean gets here!
I love audio books, Ted Talks, and podcasts and I’ve got to share my new favorite podcast, The Life Beats Project, with all of you! I absolutely love listening to the inspirational messages on this podcast and hearing all the different stories from people who’ve done great things! If you’ve got a chance check it out, you won’t be disappointed.
I’ll be honest I really expected this pregnancy to be super easy. I got through the worst of it (the first trimester+ of puking) and was ready for smooth sailing until we went to our 20 week ultrasound and the ultrasound tech said it looked like I had placenta previa. When I met with my doctor for our follow up appointment she said I definitely did have placenta previa and that it was complete, meaning my cervix is entirely covered by the placenta. And that means I might start bleeding really heavily at random, I might need to spend time on bed rest and I might have to have a C-Section if it doesn’t move. So that brought on a whole bunch of unexpected stress and questions. Not the worst thing, but not the most fun or pleasant either.
Looking Forward To
I’ve promised Easton all week that we’d go to the pumpkin patch one night when Jake wasn’t working and since he works tomorrow morning instead of tomorrow night we’re going tomorrow! Easton is so excited, it’s all he’s talked about! We’ve gone every year (even before Jake joined the party) and I think this will be the first year Easton really starts to understand what it is. The same goes for Halloween, which we have him for this year, and I’m so pumped to take him trick or treating. This kiddo loves Halloween!
