I am not a huge fan of MLM’s.
If you don’t know what MLM means, it stands for multi-level marketing. You know those people who work for other people to sell things and they get cars and trips and try to recruit you to join their team. Yeah.
I don’t like the concept and I find that for the most part, the products aren’t great.
There have been a handful of exceptions. For example Rodan & Fields Lashboost product is one of my favorite things ever (read more about that here), but for the most part I have not been very impressed by most MLM products.
I guess this may be part of why I avoided LulaRoe like the plague for years.
The products sounded nice, and they had some really cute items, but was it actually worth it for me to find a consultant, shop through their inventory, and then spend the money on the products? LulaRoe is pretty pricey, and ya girl is working on a college student budget.
I’d heard the rumors of the buttery soft leggings, and I knew that there must be something amazing about the clothes if women I knew were coming out in droves to purchase things (even fighting over things). But nevertheless, I persisted.
Recently, however, I was able to receive some LulaRoe clothing from my wonderful new friend Rhiannon for the sole purpose of trying and sharing. Because I love to share my reviews of products on the blog I jumped at the chance, and now here I am, writing this post to tell you that I actually love LulaRoe clothing.
Yep. They got me too.
I received a Carly, which is a dress for you Lularoe clueless people (like me), a pair of leggings, and a Lindsay which is basically a kimono style cardigan. I was excited to try them out, but initially unsure of how I’d feel about them.
As soon as I opened up the package I was excited because they were just so soft! I kept touching them and making Jake touch them because so soft.
They were a little more colorful than I normally wear though, and that was another thing that has always turned me off to Lularoe. I’m a jeans and tee shirt girl, and I always wear black leggings, so bright and colorful was kind of a shock to my closet. Hot pink leggings? Me in a green kimono? The Carly was black and white which wasn’t too much for me, but the other colors were a step outside of my comfort zone.
To my surprise though, they’ve become some of my favorite pieces. I brought the leggings on our trip earlier this month and wore them several times. I also have been wearing the Carly a lot lately. The Lindsay I’ve had to hold off on wearing around just because it’s a little too warm (117 doesn’t allow for many extra layers).
Overall, my experience with Lularoe has been great! I enjoy the products and would consider buying more.
In fact, I liked them so much that I’m giving away a Carly! Head over to my Instagram for more details on how you can win one for yourself!
