Because this contest is running pretty close to Halloween (it ends 10/27/2017) I wanted to share with you a cute Halloween costume idea for your sweet babe and furry friend that you might want to use!
Since we have the cutest pumpkin in the patch, I wanted to dress him like one! Those perfect round cheeks and big bald head were just begging for a pumpkin costume. And what goes better with a pumpkin that a spooky Halloween witch? Nothing- that’s what. We dressed Harley up in a tutu and a witchy little headband turned collar.
If you’re entering the contest, hopefully your pup (and babe) will sit still better than mine. Most of our photos turned out a little blurry- but a little blurry can be cute too, right!? Capture the moment.
Harley was not thrilled about the tutus- but she looked just bewitching!
How to create the perfect pet/baby costume:
- Find a theme- This can be something from a movie, an all time classic (like PB&J or Salt & Pepper), or even the same thing. I think this is the hardest part, but it’s also one of the most fun parts.
- Plan your costumes- Coming up with the costume can be hard, but sometimes finding it can be even harder! Especially if you’re going for something a little more out there than a witch and pumpkin. Some places you can try for great DIY costumes would be a thrift store or even your own closet! You can also go to Target for their broad selection of costumes.
- Add finishing touches- Things like face paint (for your child- not your dog!), hats, wigs, etc. really add to your costumes and make them more unique and fun.
- Snap a picture- You’ll of course want to capture this moment so you can show your baby that they dressed up to match their furry friend! It’s one for the baby books so be sure you take a good one (and like we already talked about, blurry can be cute!)
Lincoln loves Gerber Graduates Strawberry Yogurt Melts Freeze-Dried Yogurt and Mild Cheddar Lil’ Crunchies. They’re some of his favorite snacks! Gerber’s Strawberry Yogurt Melts have no preservatives, melt in your child’s mouth (which makes me feel so much better about feeding them to him!), and are super delicious! Gerber’s Lil’ Crunchies also dissolve in your child’s mouth easily and have 5 grams of whole grain per serving!
Purina ONE makes a great dog food that’s rich in the best ingredients for your dog, including real meat! It’s also got healthy botanical oils and no added artificial flavors!
We purchase both Gerber and Purina ONE products, along with the cute costumes, at Target- our favorite place to shop!
So whether you’re a novice photographer with uncooperative teammates (AKA pets/babies) like me, or you’re a pro with the next superstars of Instagram you can enter your photos by using #GerberGigglesAndWiggles AND #GerberPhotoSearch2017 through 10/27!
And don’t forget to check out Gerber and Purina on Facebook!
