When it comes to throwing a party, you always want to put your best foot forward. From cleaning your house top to bottom, to decor, to setting out the right appetizers, it’s so important that you have everything you need so it all runs smoothly!
Being poor college students, when we throw parties we aren’t quite the “go-big-or-go-home” couple. In fact, we’re more of the “how-can-we-stretch-this-dollar” family. What we lack in party planning budgets we make up for in fun, but as a hostess I always want to impress my guests!
This Halloween season I wanted to host a fun little party for us and some friends. Nothing too big, but we still wanted to celebrate the season with some festive food, decor, and games!
Knowing that we don’t have a huge budget, but still wanting to feed my friends some delicious foods, I went with my gut and chose to serve Tyson Chicken Nuggets, Tyson Any’tizers boneless wings, and of course Tyson Crispy Strips! They’re delicious, cost effective, and I know that we’re getting the real deal at a great price!
I picked up all of my Tyson products in the frozen food section of our local Walmart and got everything I needed at a steal!
To really spice things up, I decided to add some fun Halloween themed toppings to our meal! By serving Bat Wings, Lil’ Punkin’s, and of course Brains and Eyeballs! Just kidding. They’re Tyson snacks with toppings and dips! But I almost fooled you- huh? (Okay, maybe not- but they’re pretty cute and perfect for a Halloween themed party)
All of these snacks were very easy to create because Tyson Foods has pretty much done all the work. They provide practically-ready to eat food, which meant all I needed to do was create a topping and cook them!
To create the bat wings:
-Heat Tyson Crispy Strips in the oven/microwave- whichever your preferred way
-Mix ranch dressing with black food coloring
-Coat Tyson Crispy Strips in black food coloring/ranch dressing mix
-Serve warm or cool!
To create Lil’ Punkin’s
-Heat Tyson Chicken Nuggets your preferred way (microwave or oven)
-Mix ranch dressing with orange food coloring
-Paint on orange and green to create a pumpkin
To create Brains:
-Heat Tyson Any’tizers Boneless Wings your preferred way
-Mix in some BBQ sauce
-Pack tightly together
-Coat with BBQ sauce and cook in oven for 5-10 minutes on 350 degrees (depending on if you want a light shell)
-Remove from oven and pop on some eyeballs for a spooky Halloween look!
As you can see, these were each pretty easy to do- I think overall prep time took less than 15 minutes! Once it was all ready to go I set up my table and my wonderful friends and family were able to enjoy!
Most of us being parents, my friends were all surprised at how much we enjoyed Tyson products. They’re definitely adult friendly!
Everyone agreed that Tyson products are the best for entertaining, and not just for kids! They’re both filling and delicious, but they also go great with any party theme. Whether you’re hosting a Halloween party, getting ready for the big game, or just having a family get together, Tyson Foods always has your back!
We had a great time hosting this party and are excited to include Tyson products into more of our future get-togethers!
