So far this summer, my plans to beat the heat have included staying inside, swimming on a regular basis, having the AC as low as I can stand it, and wearing dresses.
While I tend to be a little more of a jeans and tee shirt person, I do like to wear dresses when it heats up like this. They’re the best way to stay nice and cool without walking around in a swimsuit (which I really wish was more of an option but since we don’t live near the beach, dresses will have to do).
I found this adorable dress on Olive Ave’s site not too long ago and I’ve just fallen in love. It’s my go-to church dress because it not only brings out my green eyes, but it’s easy nursing access which is a top priority to me.
A lot of nursing dresses are really low, too. The wrap dress style usually lends itself to a low neckline. While this may be great for some ladies, this is hard for me because I need clothing options that are nursing friendly, but that also are modest fashion.
I not only wear garments, so I need to find cute, garment friendly clothing, but I also just feel uncomfortable showing too much skin. While there was a time in my life that it didn’t bother me, I now prefer to keep more covered unless we’re at the pool or beach.
The top of this dress does go pretty low, but fortunately it comes with a snap hidden on the inside of the neckline! Why this isn’t on any of my other low-cut, wrap dresses I’ll never know but it adds to the list of growing reasons why this dress is one of my favorite dresses ever.
